With more than one million podcasts for you to listen to, finding one that fits your needs can be overwhelming. The Friendly Podcast Guide is here to help you discover the right podcast by giving you the pertinent details and helping you get a feel for the show in around 10 minutes. Because moms don’t have time to listen to a bunch of different podcasts to figure out which one is right for them. That is where I come in as your friendly podcast guide. Every week I talk about a different podcast, so that you can spend a short episode learning if a podcast is going to be a good fit for you or not. Then you can use all of your freed up time to do something that you love like listen to awesome podcasts! As a mom and an avid podcast lover I know that podcasts can help moms by helping us have a substitute for adult conversation, help us learn things while doing other tasks and break up the monotony that can sometimes be “momming”. I listen to at least 50 podcast episodes a week and I have always loved helping people find podcasts that they will love. Now, I get to do that same thing for more than just my close friends and family. Mothers, especially stay at home moms don’t get very much adult conversation, and when we do get adult conversation it’s usually about something that has to do with kids. Podcasts can be a nice substitute for adult conversation about topics that have nothing to do with being a mom; they can be an escape. There are many types of podcasts that can be an escape including: audio dramas, thrilling mysteries, true crime, fascinating historic true stories and so much more! As a mom, or mommy as my children call me, I know that most of the time moms have their hands full, podcasts can help moms learn hands free. You don’t have to hold a book or watch a tutorial, all you need to do is listen, which is nice when you are also trying to make dinner or drive your kids to school. Hands free learning is one of the best parts of using podcasts to learn. You can use my podcast to learn about other podcasts that can in turn help you learn about so many different things like: marketing, parenting, gardening, 3-D printing, fort building, tiktok, instagram, blogging, cooking, healthy eating, sewing, decorating, art of all kinds, skin care, hiking, houseplants and so much more. Being a mom can be a lot of things, but one of them is definitely monotonous. Doing the same thing over and over again is the name of the mom game. Podcasts can help break up the monotony of asking kids to put their dishes in the sink for the fifteenth time. When you listen to a podcast you can forget for a minute that your kid still doesn’t know how to correctly load the dishwasher or that you have to clean the fingerprints off the window for the fourth time that day (who are we kidding, we stopped caring about the fingerprints a while ago…). There are so many types of podcasts that can help you get lost in a story for a little while, there is: true crime, history, audio dramas, story-telling, folk tales and so much more. I want to be your podcast resource, where you can learn about new podcasts, because your time is precious and you want to use your time wisely. Listening to my short podcast will help you learn about other podcasts in an easy way that leaves you time to start listening to that podcast you just learned about on the same day.
